Gallatin (Greater Nashville), TN — July 3, 2025 — The Nashville area is deeply saddened by the passing of Patrick Robert Francis Egan, affectionately known as Patrick Egan, a devoted family man and respected local. He passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 47. His sudden departure leaves a profound sense of loss within the community.


A Life of Service and Community

Born and raised in Sumner County, Patrick embodied Southern warmth and kindness throughout his life. He attended local schools, including Gallatin High School, where he built lifelong friendships. After high school, Patrick embraced various roles in community engagement and local business, always maintaining a strong connection to his hometown roots.

Beloved for his genuine demeanor and generous heart, Patrick was a familiar face at local service events and volunteered his time to mentor young people. He had an innate ability to connect with people of all ages, from school children to senior citizens—sharing stories, offering support, and rallying the community for good causes.


Family Above All

Patrick is survived by his devoted wife, Emily Egan, and their two young children, Grace and Benjamin. He also leaves behind his parents, Robert and Linda Egan, along with siblings David and Margaret. His family describes him as a pillar of strength and an endless source of love and laughter.

Friends recall Patrick’s warm hospitality—many evenings were spent in his backyard, sharing memories over barbecues, surrounded by laughter and music. His love for family and fierce loyalty are among the qualities most treasured by those he leaves behind.


Visitation & Memorial Service

The visitation will take place on Saturday, July 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Gallatin, TN. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. The family welcomes those touched by Patrick’s kindness to attend, honoring his memory with shared stories, music, and a heartfelt celebration of his life.


Remembering Patrick’s Legacy

In lieu of flowers, the Egan family kindly suggests donations be made to local children’s literacy programs or the Sumner County Youth Outreach Fund—causes Patrick held close to his heart.
