Eric Locher Obituary: In Loving Memory of Eric M. Locher, 42, of Washington, DC
Washington, DC – The community mourns the loss of Eric M. Locher, 42, a devoted father, husband, and friend, who passed away on July 14, 2025. Born on April 12, 1983, in Washington, Eric was the beloved son of Elmer “Moe” Locher and Barbara (née LaBoube) Locher. He will be remembered for his vibrant personality, deep love for his family, and unwavering passion for sports.
Eric was educated at St. Francis Borgia High School and Ranken Technical College, and he built a respected career with ELS Properties. On January 12, 2013, he married Brittany Maniaci at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, beginning a new chapter filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their three children: Brooks, Reese, and Beau.
A dedicated Mizzou Tigers fan, Eric rarely missed a football or basketball game and cheered on his teams with pride. He was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals supporter and enjoyed the camaraderie of fantasy football. His love of the game extended into his community, where he coached youth football in the WJFL, mentoring and inspiring young athletes.
While Eric’s love for sports was undeniable, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his children. He found purpose in every moment spent with them and cherished the role of being a father above all else.
Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents, brother Christopher Locher, and uncle Brian Schriewer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brittany, their three children, and his parents Moe and Barb Locher. He is also survived by his brother Mark Locher (Karrie), in-laws Beth and Mike Maniaci, brothers- and sisters-in-law Dustin Maniaci, Demi Maniaci (Sam Hope), and Shari Locher, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who deeply mourn his loss.

In a tribute to Eric’s sports spirit, the family requests that attendees wear St. Louis Cardinals or Mizzou Tigers attire to the visitation.
Memorial Contributions
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eric Locher Memorial Fund, care of the Bank of Washington, to support his children’s future.
Eric M. Locher’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the community he helped strengthen. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
